During their meeting, the Akums Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Limited Board of Directors accepted Amrut Medhekar's appointment as Chief Executive Officer-CDMO Business, effective August 24, 2024.
Sandeep and Sanjeev Jain, the company's managing directors, will receive Medhekar's reports. He provides extensive pharmacological experience spanning over 27 years. He has a wealth of expertise in digitalisation, budgetary control, profit and loss management, and creating a highly motivated and effective workforce.
Medhekar was employed by Wockhardt for more than two years as the President of India Business before taking on this new position. He had previously spent more than thirteen years working for Zydus Group. Additionally, Torrent Pharmaceuticals, LifeMedicare Biotech, Novartis, JK Tyre & Industries, and Ranbaxy were connected to him. He graduated from Jiwaji University with a Master of Business Administration in Marketing (MBA).
