Dr. Ingrid Halvorsen appointed CEO of Sterigenix
Dr. Ingrid Halvorsen, chair of Aventa CDMO and former CSO of Nordic BioPharma, has been named CEO of Sterigenix following the departure of founder-CEO Peter Bergman.

Sterigenix today announced that Dr. Ingrid Halvorsen will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer on 1 August 2026, succeeding founder-CEO Peter Bergman, who is stepping down after twelve years at the helm.
Halvorsen brings a rare combination of scientific depth and commercial leadership. She served as Chief Scientific Officer of Nordic BioPharma from 2017 to 2023 and has chaired the boards of Aventa CDMO and two university-linked venture funds. Her academic background is in sterile process microbiology at Uppsala University.
"Peter built Sterigenix from a two-suite Copenhagen operation into one of Europe's most respected sterile CDMOs," said Halvorsen. "My focus in year one will be on capacity expansion in the US market and continuing the operational excellence that makes Sterigenix a trusted partner for its clients."
