Marcus Adeyemi joins Aventa CDMO as Chief Executive Officer
Marcus Adeyemi, previously VP of Sterile Operations at Sterigenix, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Aventa CDMO effective July 2026.
Aventa CDMO today announced the appointment of Marcus Adeyemi as Chief Executive Officer, effective 22 July 2026. Adeyemi succeeds interim CEO Prashant Rao and brings 22 years of sterile fill-finish operations experience to the role.
Adeyemi joins Aventa from Sterigenix, where he served as VP of Sterile Operations for the past six years and led the buildout of the company's Annex 1-compliant vial line in Frankfurt. Prior to Sterigenix, he held senior operational roles at Baxter BioPharma Solutions and Catalent.
"Aventa is at an inflection point," said Adeyemi. "The demand for high-quality sterile capacity in the biosimilars space has outstripped what most CDMOs can offer, and I'm looking forward to helping the team scale responsibly."
Aventa Board Chair Dr. Ingrid Halvorsen said the appointment concludes a nine-month search process. "Marcus's operational depth and his track record of delivering complex sterile programmes on time is exactly what Aventa needs at this stage."
